Details: This is the download site with the most users. Really ugly is, that it just announces at the very end of registration and filling out all submission forms, that it doesn't allow any free submission. After they changed their policy to only accept paid submissions, many interesting programs are missing in this directory or only available in outdated versions. Hard to evaluate for whom it's worth to pay 99 USD monthly or 79 USD per update. Users may find the programs also in any other library if the listing in cnet is missing. Some people swear on the cnet submission, others state it's waste of money and high download rates will only last for a few days. From a moralic point hard to understand, that CNet makes advertizing money with the software listings and charges the authors, which provide their content, for submissions.
