Cisco NetFlow Specialist NetQoS Acquired RedPoint Network Systems, Launches NetVoyant Polling Technology

NetQoS Inc., the fastest-growing provider of performance analysis products and services for Global 2000 networks, has completed its acquisition of RedPoint Network Systems Inc., a privately held software company based in Irving, Texas, and its NetVoyant® polling software.

NetQoS acquired substantially all assets of RedPoint for cash, including its NetVoyant software, customer base and key employees. The acquisition adds device and infrastructure performance monitoring capabilities to the NetQoS product portfolio that already includes SuperAgent® for end-to-end application response time measurement and ReporterAnalyzer™ for Cisco IOS® NetFlow traffic reporting and analysis.

“The acquisition of NetVoyant software enables NetQoS to offer our customers a complete picture of their infrastructure with just three key products,” said Joel Trammell, NetQoS chief executive officer. “NetVoyant rounds out the NetQoS product family by giving our customers additional insight into the network elements that may be impacting application performance.”

Available immediately, the NetQoS NetVoyant polling software collects performance data from both network elements and application services and distills it into reports that enable IT personnel to manage network performance more effectively. NetVoyant features include:

* Exception thresholds, alerts and automatic notifications to promote rapid response to device, network, and IT service issues;
* Real-time fault diagnostics to isolate device and network components that are causing performance problems;
* Network and device utilization with charts showing current and historical values mapped against baselines;
* Historical reports and trend analysis to aid capacity planning;
* A distributed polling architecture that scales to large networks with a centralized console for enterprise-wide monitoring.

NetVoyant pricing starts at $40,000.
