Paradise Datacom Announces Evolution Series 25 Mbps Fast Satellite Modem

Paradise Datacom announced the launch of the Evolution Series Satellite Modem at the Satellite 2005 Show in Washington D.C., March 23rd to 25th 2005.

The Evolution Series Modem utilizes fully-programmable logic devices as opposed to proprietary ASICs, which allows the ability to incorporate new features and functionality by simply downloading a new set of software.

* More features for free! – The base modem version of the Evolution Series allows operation up to 8,448kbps!! Also included is an Ethernet interface, Viterbi, Intelsat Reed-Solomon, Advanced ESC functions, AUPC and Wideband IF operation covering both 70MHz and 140MHz bands.
* Fully configurable, only pay for what you need – Customers may specify, at time or order, exactly what features are required. The customer only pays for the features enabled, making this a very cost-effective Modem. “Digital keys” can enable most features making field upgrades a simple matter.
* High data rate modem – operates to 8,448kbps (base model), 16,896kbps or 25Mbps
* Future proof design – the Evolution Series Modem is designed around a flexible hardware platform comprising fully programmable logic chips. The digitally implemented modem allows all functional blocks to be reconfigured through software. Adding further Error Correction schemes, digital processes or Modulation types is easily achieved through software upgrades with no change of hardware.
