Solutions and Concepts For Fine Access Statistics on Blogs' Feed Readings

Blogging and rss are fine things, your news and articles are dispersed lover through the world.

But how many people do read your self written news at all?

As blogging applications like wordpress don't bring them themselves with them, bloggers will need some statistic software to answer this question.

The difference between a blog and a usual website is, that blogs may also be read with different kinds of feedreaders. The access stats to the blog's website can be done with a free web statistics ASP like statcounter, but how to get statistics for the feeds? The question is not so easy to answer, there is no integrated specialized software packet for this task so far. Just doing log file analysis with programs like WebLog Expert Lite wouldn't show, which users read a blog as well on the website as with a feedreader. And there is no log analysis software recognizing the hundreds of diffrent feed grabbing robots, which cause entries in the log files, but aren't natural readers.

To get fine statistics for a blog there are solutions and concepts still missing. In almost any blog the topic is discussed, but no solution is in sight, see the latest entry on brainwagon.org.

So, maybe you will be the first to draft and implement a statistic solution for the always growing blogger market?
