Netqos has got ReporterAnalyzer, a Tool to Measure Effects of Introducing MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) Environments

NetQoS does not offer free anonym trials, a personal request by email is needed to be allowed to download ReporterAnalyzer and other NetQoS products. The install files of NetQoS are put to a password protected area of the NetQoS web site. The NetQoS web site lacks also price information.

Press Release:
NetQoS Inc., the network performance experts, today unveiled the most cost-effective way to monitor network and application performance in Multi- Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) environments – without deploying probes or agents. NetQoS products provide enterprise-wide statistics needed to monitor performance and validate the impact of infrastructure and technology investments.

"As more enterprises make the move to MPLS, there is a great deal of uncertainty about measuring the effectiveness of the architecture change and maintaining the same level of visibility as with non-MPLS networks," said Glenn O'Donnell, program director at META Group, a leading provider of IT research, advisory services, and strategic consulting. "A cost-effective approach to ease these fears and achieve improved visibility into network and application performance includes common SNMP and technologies such as Cisco IOS® NetFlow, and passive, end-to-end performance monitoring."

Using NetQoS ReporterAnalyzer, a NetFlow reporting solution, enterprises are able to view applications, servers, and conversations on the network without the cost of deploying probes on every link. Enterprises are also able to measure the before and after impact on latency for the move to MPLS by monitoring end-to-end performance with NetQoS SuperAgent®, an agent-less solution.

“The challenge for managing MPLS networks is to provide the same visibility into the network as traditional hub and spoke environments,” said Cathy Fulton, CTO of NetQoS. “With NetQoS technologies, enterprises are able to measure the impact of infrastructure changes and gain global visibility into the network.”

Many companies are implementing MPLS as a cost-effective way to simplify network management and improve the end-user’s experience. “When you roll out a new technology, there is a fear of not knowing if the implementation has had the desired effect; with NetQoS products, that fear is eliminated,” Fulton continues. “Using NetQoS technologies, enterprises can quantify the effect of moving to an MPLS environment, and guarantee the performance of key applications to ensure their user’s satisfaction. In addition, companies are able to perform protocol analysis, troubleshooting, and trend analysis of their wide area networks (WANs).”
